Native Silver on Acanthite
stock #8.1-075
Wudong mine, Liubao, Cangwu Co. Wuzoh
Guangxi, China
3.2 x 2 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $375

An exceptional silver / acanthite from an unusual locality in China better known for Rhodochrosites . This has very well formed acanthites (largest reaches 1 cm) that host a mass of silver wires of several forms. A very nice silver in general and the very best I have seen from this locale. This can be displayed to feature either the silver or the acanthites, both are well presented. 2007 find.
Manganite
stock #7-AC-030
Ilfield
Harz Mountains, Germany
5 X 3.1 CM (miniature)
price: $400

A classic from the worlds greatest source for crystalized manganite. This piece is probably well over 150 years old and shows the most desirable crystal form, luster and style that has made the Ilfield manganites famous. These are rarely available at this price level, I expect this will not last long. There is some damage at the edges (see the photos) and on some crystals but is not distracting, and it still displays well. If perfect this would easily command 1500.00 or more. A very attractive miniature and a great piece of mineral history!
Fluorapatite (apatite-CF) on albite and muscovite
stock #7.1-003
Chamachu, Haramoush Mts.
Skardu District, Baltistan, Pakistan
4.8x3.1 CM (miniature)
price: $100

A very well presented apatite crystal of 2.7 CM (2.3 CM wide) dominates this small miniature. Shows great form and some transparency, the color changes somewhat from a pinkish hue to a greenish grey depending on the light type. Very esthetic and yet reasonably priced.
