Fluorite- Zoned crystals on Quartz
stock #Alec 19-279
Redstone Quarry, Conway, Carroll County
New Hampshire, United States
8.1 x 7.4 x 4.4 CM (cabinet)
price: $1150
pre Tucson 2015 update

A classic old find from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, these rare "pocket" Fluorites are by far the most esthetic of these we have seen. 1960's vintage, this specimen is well formed and has exceptional 3 dimensional presentation. The Fluorites reach 3.5 CM across and have fine and classic zoning with frosted faces that makes this locality distinctive. Aside from the famed Wise mine in southwestern New Hampshire this defunct quarry is the next best New England Fluorite locale and this is perhaps the best example.
Villiaumite with Hackmanite
stock #14.1-448
Mont Saint-Hilaire, Monteregie
Quebec, Canada
7.7 x 3.3 x 4.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $190
pre Tucson 2015 update

Villiaumite is one of the more colorful yet rare minerals found at Mt St Hillaire and a handful of other Alkalai complexes. This is a very nice and very bright red example. These cubes are good sized (about 1 CM) rare for for bright red crystals, larger crystals have been found here but they are brownish. The matrix has many other alkali minerals included in it as is typical from this locale. Sadly now the quarry is closed there will be no more of these.
Barite on Quartz
stock #ALEC-19-264
Jinkouhe town, Ebian
Sichuan, China
7.7 x 5.2 x 2.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $500
pre Tucson 2015 update

A delicate mineral sculpture with very sharp form. This presents outstanding form and arrangement that is unusually eyecatching for a colorless specimen! Older (about 2004) Chinese specimen with gemmy Barites some of which have white phantoms. The condition is pristine and that is quite amazing given the delicacy of this piece.
Barite with Malachite inclusions
stock #Alec-19-235
Likasi, Katanga Copper Crescent
Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire)
5.9 x 3.2 x 4 CM (cabinet)
price: $360
pre Tucson 2015 update

Esthetic, sharp green and glassy Barites are perched on a matrix along with some small zones of Malachite in an attractive specimen. From the famous finds of the 1980-90's this is a very colorful Barite with several nice angles for display. In very good condition, there is a little minor chipping mostly on the backside and not noticable without magnification. A good value, these have become quite expensive and few are this attractive.
