Large deep purple-red crystals of Rosellite in a vug decorated with fine Cobaltoan Calcites as accents. Well composed and showy, the biggest crystals are 1.4 CM which is huge for the specie. In perfect condition inside the vug, outside a thin rim of chipping is noted where this was removed. Very strong display impact for the size.
Mimetite
stock #ALEC-21-005
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
6.3 x 4.4 x 3 CM (cabinet)
price: $1650
Post Tucson 2015

An exceptional, undamaged, wet look Mimetite with great color and form. From the 2012 find at Mina Ojuela, showing the elongated botryoidal look unique to this discovery. These specimens are now considered equal to or better than the old find at San Pedro Corralitos, which are very sought after and prized. Destined to become classics, the find is exhausted. Fantastic esthetics, better in person!

An Alpine classic, sharp and lustrous rosettes of Hematite scattered on a matrix that is also covered with tiny Adularia crystals. Micros of Epidote are seen as well, the specimen is really all about the roses. Excellent luster and silvery black color this Tyrolian (Austria) piece looks just like a Swiss specimen.

stock #14.1-434
Denton Mine
Illinois, United States
8 x 5.7 x 4.3 CM (cabinet)
price: $700
Post Tucson 2015

Bright multi colored, transparent and sharp, this specimen is in outstanding condition and has great form. Classic Denton mine Fluorite from about 40 years ago, the cores of the crystals are yellow and bluish with zoned purple exteriors. A scattering of Chalcopyrite crystals adds a nice accent. Much better than the usual for this mine, excellent display piece far better in hand.
Grossular on Diopside and Calcite
stock #ALEC-20-156
Eden Mills Quarries, Lowell & Eden
Vermont, United States
6.7 x 6 x 3.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $1100
Post Tucson 2015

A very special and undamaged Grossular with bright luster and red brown color nicely perched on a complex crystallized matrix. An American classic locale, the so called "Eden Mills" area is usually the Lowell Quarry or the "C" pit, both of Lamoille County, Vermont. The locations are long closed and good specimens are rare. This one is fine and unusual as the matrix has 3 habits of clear calcite crystals nestled in etched Diopside crystals. This particular assemblage is quite uncommon. Several smaller Grossular are present with the largest 1.8 CM across. Good Lowell area specimens are highly sought after and treasured. Few are available and even average specimens are now rather expensive, really good ones are very rare and commensurately priced.
Quartz- Red incusioons of Hematite
stock #ALEC-11-408
Orange River, Namakwa
Northern Cape Province, South Africa
4.7 x 3.1 x 2.5 CM (miniature)

Post Tucson 2015

A classic Orange river Quartz on matrix that has excellent esthetics, form and condition. Deep orange red color with good transparency, this is much better than typical for this fantastic locality. One attached crystal that is on the "backside" has damage, that is not seen on display. The main crystal is perfect.
Celestine -floater cluster
stock #0223-JM-0223
Clay Center, Ottawa County
Ohio, United States
9 x 8.2 x 3.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $380
Post Tucson 2015

Ex John Marshall Collection, a fine zoned blue Celestite that has no attachment point, it is crystallized all around. The individual crystals reach 3.5 CM and are sharp with sky blue cores. Vintage 1970's undamaged from a now classic locale. Clay center still sometimes produces a few good specimens but this quality is not typical, the color is a little more vivid in person.
Pyromorphite with Wulfenite (rare at this locale)
stock #A7-546-414
Sherman Mine, Burke, Coeurd'Alene District, Shoshone Co.
Idaho, United States
5.8 x 5.1 x 3.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $275
Post Tucson 2015

A very delicate Sherman Mine Pyromorphite, crystallized on all sides with individuals reaching 1 CM. Micro crystals of bright red prismatic gemmy Wulfenite are scattered over the specimen (best seen on the 4th photo in the series). Although small I am informed that this is a great rarity for Idaho, one find vintage 1970's. In very good condition the only damage is found with magnification and is limited to edge crystals not seen by naked eye. Most of the matrix is filled with large vugs presenting dense clusters of elongated crystals having both hollow and pointed tips. Nice yellow to green hues and good luster, ex Larry White collection obtained in 1976. The Pyros from here are now very hard to find in any quality, the Wulfenite is a great rare bonus.
