Fluorite -new find
stock #16.1-768
Hameda, Jorf, Er Rachidia Province
Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
7.9 x 5.8 x 3.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $300
Spring 2017

Glassy bright yellow Fluorite with sharp transparent cubes in an esthetic cluster. From a new find in the Hamada area that has produced much better than previous specimens. Choice display specimen with distinctive habit and color. All of the main crystals are perfect, undamaged which is rare in a Moroccan Fluorite.
Manganite
stock #15.1-452
Ilfeld, Nordhausen, Harz Mts
Thuringia, Germany
5.7 x 4.1 x 2 CM (cabinet)
price: $320
Spring 2017

A fine, old German Manganite with very lustrous metallic crystals. Looks good on all sides but the "front" is a bit better. Typical crystal habits reaching to 3.3 CM. Some contacts and breakage keeps the price very low for one of these classics yet this still displays quite well.
Pectolite and Natrolite
stock #13.1-360
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos
Quebec, Canada
5.8 x 4.3 x 2.3 CM (cabinet)
price: $135
Spring 2017

A sharp and complex specimen, with mostly gemmy Pectolite crystals radiating in all directions. Undamaged and choice. Pectolite is not often an attractive mineral, this specimen is an exception to the rule. Fr4om the incredible Jeffrey Mine, this is even more impressive when magnified.
Cuprite- large well crystallized mass.
stock #16.1-355
Red Dome Mine, Chillagoe, Tablelands Region
Queensland, Australia
7.8 x 6.2 x 3.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $460
Spring 2017

A sizable pure mass of Cuprite, nearly all crystallized with individual crystals reaching 1.5 CM. A few small vugs have some hairy Cuprite V. Chalcotrichite, in excellent condition overall, this is a rich specimen from a classic locality. Better in person.
Wulfenite with Mimetite
stock #Alec 21-052
Rowley Mine, (Reliance Mine), Theba, Painted Rock District
Arizona, United States
4.6 x 3.4 x 2.4 CM (miniature)
price: $700
Spring 2017

An excellent, fine, delicate and colorful specimen of windowpane Wulfenite on matrix. A few tiny bits of Mimetite are found on close inspection. In incredible condition for such a delicate mineral, with good magnification I can find only one tiny chipped crystal that is out of sight anyway, essentially perfect. This was found in the last mining attempts at Rowley, that project is now finished and there may never be any more of these. A clean, classic and very esthetic specimen.
Sheelite on Muscovite - Fine orange color
stock #Alec 16-175
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan, China
7 x 4 x 3.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $690
Spring 2017

An older, choice (vintage 2002) Sheelite from early finds on Mt. Xuebaoding. The glassy luster and deep orange color makes this a strong small cabinet specimen, although it could be trimmed to miniature size without problems. These Scheelites rocked the mineral world when they were first found, they were the best ever seen. Now the original locale is closed down, nearby mining still produces some Scheelite but not with this color or style. A modern classic, there is chipping at the outer edge and contacting of the main Scheelite, not very distracting but it is there. So this is not right for perfectionists but if perfect it would be many times the price. Displays well and is a lot more affordable as a result of these issues.
Fluorite -Penetration twins/ daylight fluorescence
stock #Alec-20-159
Weardale North Pennines
Durham, England
7.8 x 6.5 x 4.4 CM (cabinet)
price: $580
Spring 2017

A classic daylight fluorescence Fluorite from Weardale. In fine condition with a large twin (2.8 CM diagonal) prominently on top of a mound of smaller, sharp Fluorites. Good transparency and luster, there are a few phantoms in the larger crystals. A choice example from this once prolific region and a fine textbook quality twin.
Fluorite - complex etched cube
stock #0622-JM-2450
Madoc, Centre Hastings, Hastings County
Ontario, Canada
5.8 x 4.9 x 3.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $330
Spring 2017

A complete cube, fully transparent of a pale green Fluorite that has stepped, etched and recrystallized geometric hills on all faces. From old finds at Madoc, this was in the John Marshall collection. One back corner has a tiny bit of matrix adhering and some contacting too, the front and sides are in perfect, undamaged condition. Display well, few Fluorite collections have this nice a specimen of this classic locale.
