Fluorite (spinel twinned) on Tourmaline
stock #AX-4-218
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
6.3 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $880
Spring 2013

A really fine, rare Erongo specimen with textbook spinel twin form and great esthetics! Better in person by far, this piece is nicely composed with a divergent group of Schorl Tourmaline that host and penetrate into the Fluorites. The Fluorites are spinel twinned and show delicate zoning. These are stacked like a shish-kabob on the Schorl. It is easy to see the dark Tourmalines inside the Fluorite. Undamaged and displays great, an excellent piece for the Fluorite cabinet or in an Erongo suite.

Cuprite coated by Malachite
stock #AX-11-226
Onganja Mine, Windhoek District
Khomas Region, Namibia
4 X 3 CM (miniature)
price: $1450
Spring 2013

An important classic, the find of these fantastic Cuprites was made 45 years ago, there have been none since. These are now very rare on the market and this one is in fine condition. On the base and in one corner the malachite coating did not form and the bright red Cuprite is clearly seen. Some chipping is present on backside and underneath but the display side is clean and undamaged. Great color and textbook sharp form are what sets the best old Onjanga Cuprites apart.
