Sharp crystals of Smithsonite cover a matrix of Cerussite with some twinned crystals showing. The Smithsonites are all perfect and undamaged. A nice association the milky white Smithsonite crystals have nice contrast to the grey Cerussite.
Diopside- gemmy crystals on matrix
stock #17.1-AX- 35-524
Calvin Mitchell Prospect, Dekalb, St Lawrence County
4.3 x 4 x 2.6 CM (miniature)
Fine and sharp gem clear Diopside crystals on a Diopside matrix in excellent condition. From the famed Dekalb classic location made famous in the 1800s, The largest crystal is 2.3 CM long and has fine transparency and a nice yellow-green color. This was collected by and in the collection of S. Alverson in the last good find over 4 decades ago. Since that pocket there have been no more with this clarity and glassy luster. Outstanding for the location and an esthetic piece as well!
From the now famed La Marina mine this is a more rare habit of elongated prism Apatite. Sharp, choice and with great color this deposit more typically had flattened equant or stretched tabular forms. From the recent find this is the best example of the form we have seen.
Classic, sharp and colorful Fluorite in fine condition. The color is very intense especially with a little backlighting, and the etched and stepped faces are very esthetic. In fine condition as seen. A super value, these have become very high priced on the mineral market.
Fluorite on Quartz
Huayllapon Mine, Pasto Bueno District
Pallasca Province, Ancash Department,
4.7 x 3.6 x 2.8 CM (miniature)
A very esthetic 90s vintage specimen of very sharp clear Quartz hosting rounded Fluorite crystals with delicate blue color. After this one time Peruvian find there were no more of these and they are now only seen when collections are turned over. The main Quartz had the distinctive three sided termination and a 1.3 CM fluorite with a yellowish phantom. Choice.
Super form and esthetics for this distinctive style apatite! Rich pink Apatite crystals are in stacked epitaxial arrangements. From a small recent find at La Marina emerald mine. The last time this style of Apatite was found was over 8 years ago. We had the good fortune to purchase a pocket at that time and several of those specimens were later illustrated in the Mineralogical Record, Lapis special edition etc. This small lot from the new find is of the same quality and habit as the earlier, now classic and unavailable material. The display face of the specimen is in fine condition, there is a clean contact on the reverse side and a break at the base where this was removed but not visible in any normal display angle. This is the best we have seen of this style from the new find.

A few of the intersections and backsides are coated with unidentified micro crystals of what seems to be 2 differnt minerals, presumably Phosphates.
