An important old piece from the Legro Collection (Pre 1879 although this specimen is likely much older) from Martins Station Virginia. Martin's Station in Lees County
was on the wilderness trail to Boonestown. Specimens from this location date to the frontier era. A least 2 generations of Hemimorphite are presented in botroidal form.
A Colorado classic, the Eagle mine has provided many fine specimens over the years. This is a very good Rhodo with individual sharp rhombs to 2 CM covering most of the surface. Scattered Sphalerites on the display side (and many more on the reverse side) add extra sparkle. It is rare to find examples this good from the location. This old timer is in exceptional condition, all the main rhombs are perfect. A great addition for a Colorado collection or a rhodochrosite suite.

A nice, well composed galena from the Mid Continent mine. Good luster on crystals that reach 3 cm, displays very well and a nice addition to any suite of Galena or Tri-state classics. Sharp and excellent damage wise. Specimens like this have become scarce as the mines have been closed for several decades now.
Bright, gemmy and unusually showy, this is a great rubyjack from the classic Tristate location of Pitcher. No damage. This specimen was obtained from the legendary Chink Enders in 1965. Far better esthetics and brighter color than typical, very rare in this quality.

A classic style from a classic American mine! Sharp glassy Calcites are selectively deposited on 2 faces of a transparent to translucent purple cube. Striking color and form. It is possible to backlight the Fluorite so it glows brightly, but these photos show a more typical display lighting. The back and base are damaged from when this was collected, (that's why they are the back and base!) from the front this displays well as seen in the photos. Great value.

8.8 x 4.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $800
An American classic, old style Epidote on quartz from Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. One of the harshest collecting areas in the USA, this site has been worked sporadically for almost 100 years. This is a beautiful example of why folks still try to go there. Displays well on either side, this has 2 main crystals to just over 4 CM that show good form and luster. Fine condition overall and a good value.
A Maine classic, this is an exceptionally esthetic specimen with a perfect undamaged compound crystal of 6 CM size perched perfectly on the matrix. Excellent color, luster and form. Formerly in the John Marshall collection.
