Purple Adamite with Lotharmeyerite
stock #7 MEX- 130
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
6.4 x 4.8 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $750

Rich, deep color purple Adamite is super rare and highly desirable. From the one time find of 1981, This specimen has several fine, sharp glass-like crystals to 1.2 CM long aranged in clusters on a contrasting matrix. Micro crystals of the rare mineral Lotharmeyerite are also scattered about on all sides. In excellent condition damage wise, this is a fine example of one of the "holy grail" species that will not break the bank.
Cubic Magnetite with Sphalerite, talc etc.
stock #9.1-083
ZCA Mine number 4, Balmat, Balmat-Edwards District, St. Lawrence, Co.
New York, United States
6.4 x 4.3 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $250

The best USA magnetites are these unique cubic crystals. Good ones are not common. This example has lusterous and fine crystals that reach 1.4 CM. Displayable from several sides, one face has a contrasting Talc that sets off the dark Magnetite well. Far better than average condition, but with damage at the outer edges and contacts/chipping can be seen. Since the magnetite here is exceptionally fragile, this degree of damage is actually very minimal, and the piece is a fine example of a rare form and a classic occurance. Ex. Ernie Schlicter, 1970's vintage.
Spessartine Garnet (Floater with complex crystal form)
stock #8DK-031
Navegadora Mine, Penha do Norte, Conseheiro Pena, Doce Valley
Minas Gerais, Brazil
5.6 x 4 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $380

From the famous find of more than 20 years ago, this is a very good example of deep blood-red Spessartine. It is fully crystallized on all sides ("floater") and shows incredible geometric growth steps of several types. This one is as close to perfect as I have seen, some areas of chipping can be found with magnification but not easilly seen by naked eye. Very good value!

Las Vigas Amethyst is some of the finest and most attractive known. These are modern classics. The location has been intermitantly prolific, which helps make these more affordable compared to most other locales.
