A perfect, undamaged, esthetic and really oddball calcite! Neat "mushroom cloud" crystal that has glass-like luster and a good view on every angle. Fine early Dalngorsk piece, this sort of specimen is just not available on the market now.
Galena, Spinel Twin, on Spalerite
stock #10.1-509
Dal'ngorsk
Primorsky Kray, Far Eastern Region,
Russia
4.4 x 3.1 CM (miniature)
price: $200
Perfectly positioned sharp textbook spinel twin crystal of galena rises above a cluster of sharp sphalerite crystals. Simply an esthetic fine small miniature with no damage or distractions. Good luster, this is older Dalngorsk material (2000) that presents well and is still very affordable for this quality from a modern classic location.
An exceptional Spinel galena from the John Marshall Collection. Textbook perfect clusters of Spinel twins reaching 4 CM are esthetically placed on a complex matrix of fine quality Chalcopyrites and minor quartz, sphalerite etc. One large Chalcopyrite (2.4 CM) is also a textbook perfect crystal and is perched at one end of the specimen. There is a lot of Galena from Dalngorsk but fine spinel twins from there have become quite rare (they were never common in top quality). This one has both excellent condition and esthetics.

Nikolai Mine, Dal'Negorsk
Primorsky Kray, Far Eastern Region,
Russia
8.4 x 6.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $0
Super esthetic and undamaged rosette of yellow metalic pyrrhotite 4.8 CM in size. This is perched on a well crystallized contrasting matrix. Dalnegorsk has produced what are probably the best Pyrrhotites ever, this one is quite impressive and far better composed than most. I have seen very few pieces that rival the esthetic impact of this one !
Pyrrhotite with spinel twin Galena

Nikolaevskly Mine Dal'negorsk
Primorsky Kray, Far Eastern Region,
Russia
10 x 7.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $285
Three different habits of well crystalized pyrrhotite and a small but fine spinel twin galena are jammed onto a small block of matrix in a pleasing array. Tabular, elongated (up to 6 cm) flat prism and stacked prismatic crystals with minimal damage (2 small chips on one xl) and fine bright luster make this piece far above average. Dalngorsk Pyrrhotiotes are probably the best in the world and reasonably priced good ones have become quite uncommon.
