Realgar on matrix
stock #7 CNA-436
Shimen (Jiepiayu) Mine
Hunan, China
9.5x7 CM (cabinet)
price: $900

Fantastic gem red glass like and sharp realgars that really glow! This piece has far superior quality to any of the recent Romanian material. From a small find in late 2006, you can see through every crystal here. There is are some areas of chipping that is noticable however the overall impact is so strong that it can be forgiven. The price is however adjusted substantially for this damage.
Magnetite on Matrix
stock #7 CNA-435
Gaoligong Shan, Baoshan Prefecture
Yunnan, China
10.8 x 6.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $450

A huge 8 CM magnetite "stretched" octahedron sits on top of a pegmatite matrix that has several other fine magnetites. Super esthetic and with great patina on the display faces this is the best Chinese Magnetite I have seen. The faces show well defined growth hillocks and the "front" as I see it is damage free, there is a contact on the back side. Impressive for any magnetite and incredible from China!
Fluorapatite on muscovite
stock #7 CNA-428
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu, Huya
Sichuan, China
5.4x4.8 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $375

A cluster of glassy purple to pink fluorapatites reaching 2.5 CM showing good transparency. Good apatites from Xuebaoding are very much sought after and were hard to get even when the mining was active. A very nice piece the tiny black spots in some photos are tiny cassiterites adhearing to the apatite. In great condition.
Fluorite (included by Boulangerite) with quartz
stock #7 CNA-437
Yaogangxian Tungsten Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan, China
7.8x4.6 CM (cabinet)
price: $800

This is just a killer small cabinet of included fluorite pearched esthetically on a spray of quartz. The main 3.7 CM cube is clear flourite colored to a dark blue-purple by thousands of metallic needles some of which reach the surface. The front of the fluorite is pristine but it is contacted in the back.. There are 2 small broken quartz xls (not very easilly noticed) which can be trimmed off but I like it as is since these act as a stand for the piece. This is an exceptional piece of this minerological oddity from Yaoganxian!
Scheelite
stock #7 CNA-424
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu, Huya
Sichuan, China
10x6.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $650

Way better than most, this is a glassy, lustrous and sharp chain of gemmy Scheelites (largest is 4.6 CM) That really glows with any backlighting. Lots of gemmy areas with all of the display side and most of the back damage free. Displays well from several angles. Formerly in the Mike Walter collection.
Bournonite with Fluorite
stock #7 -CNA-442
Yaogangxian Tungsten Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan, China
5x3.2 CM (miniature)
price: $650

An exceptionally large metallic crystal, sharp, lusterous and with fine termination. As a bonus it is sprinkled with lotss of small light violet fluorites for an extra sparkle. In very good condition overall though there are some small spots of damage that are very forgivable in a crystal of this size and can be minimized with careful display. This is FAR better than average and really shines!
Euclase
stock #8.1-219
Piaotang, Dayu
Yunnan, China
4.5x3.9 CM (miniature)
price: $600

Sharp and glassy Euclase on matrix to 1.4 CM. A great example from this small one time find. These were the best Chinese examples of this rare Berylium gem mineral. The crystals have some micro cavities on a few faces with unknown black materials inside. Good condition in general, there are broken and damaged crystals on the edges and back the display side looks fine to the unaided eye.
SOLDCassiterite (gemmy)
stock #SOLD 8.1-176
Amo Mine, Ximeng
Yunnan, China
5x3.6 CM (miniature)
price: $0

A superb miniature gemmy cassiterite with sharp glassy luster crystals to 2.2 CM. These have become very hard to find (and expensive) since the main find of 2003-4. I think the quality of the best examples from Ximeng are possibly the worlds best for the specie. On this piece the transparent crystals here have smokey phantoms and show colors like yellow, orange, white and brown as well as the usual black. There is some very tiny damage to a few edges (and the backside attachment point) but it is not be visible if oriented well in a display. One of the very best examples of this new classic I have seen available and at a very attractive price.
