Himalaya Mine, San Diego County
4.6x2.4 CM (miniature)
A richly zoned crystal that is very sharp and damage free. This is the classic bicolor for this mine showing a sharp flat termination. It has much richer than usual color depth and really glows with any backlight.
Zoisite var. Tanzanite
Merelani, Umba Valley, Lelatama Mountains, Arusha Region
2.7 x 1.2CM (small miniature)
A bright gem crystal showing outstanding trichroic color change. This is basicly 100% gem grade with a few inclusions. The deep blue and purple are on the front and sides the end view has a reddish color that indicates little or no heat treatments were made on this crystal. There are some micro inclusions on one edge of an unknown metalic mineral and a few grains of what looks like pyrite. A few tiny edge chips, not easly seen by naked eye. Overall in fine condition and priced below gem rough.

Mogok, Sayaing district
2.3x1.4 CM (thumbnail)
Sharp, lustrous gemmy, and very clear phenakite. Except for the point of attachment on the base, this terminated crystal is
perfect with no damage. From a remarkable find in Burma in 2005-6, phenakite of this size and quality is quite rare.
