Fluorapatite (apatite-CF) on albite and muscovite
stock #7.1-003
Chamachu, Haramoush Mts.
Skardu District, Baltistan, Pakistan
4.8x3.1 CM (miniature)
price: $100

A very well presented apatite crystal of 2.7 CM (2.3 CM wide) dominates this small miniature. Shows great form and some transparency, the color changes somewhat from a pinkish hue to a greenish grey depending on the light type. Very esthetic and yet reasonably priced.
Manganite
stock #7-AC-030
Ilfield
Harz Mountains, Germany
5 X 3.1 CM (miniature)
price: $400

A classic from the worlds greatest source for crystalized manganite. This piece is probably well over 150 years old and shows the most desirable crystal form, luster and style that has made the Ilfield manganites famous. These are rarely available at this price level, I expect this will not last long. There is some damage at the edges (see the photos) and on some crystals but is not distracting, and it still displays well. If perfect this would easily command 1500.00 or more. A very attractive miniature and a great piece of mineral history!
Ferberite with Fluorite and Muscovite etc.
stock #6.2-883
Yaogangxian Tungsten Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan, China
5.5x3.5 (miniature)
price: $200

A super attractive combination piece of Yaogangxian material, with top notch luster, form and color. There is minor damage to crystals on the backside and a fluorite cleave at the right edge of the piece, however the display face is perfect even under 10x magnification. Undamaged and esthetic ferberite is quite rare, this one really stands out from the crowd of Yaogangxian minerals.
Goethite (irridescent limonite)
stock #7-CNA-484
Nanping, Hechi prefecture
Guanxi, China
13.5 x 7.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $380

Smooth and lustrous, with a golden brown color and multi-hued irridescence this is in excellent condition and very showy. Possibly the best looking piece of this find I have seen.
Hemimorphite on Quartz
stock #7CNA-524
Wenshan County, Wenshan Autonomous Prefecture
Yunnan, China
18 x 11CM (cabinet)
price: $380

A sizable crystalized quartz matix covered with a robins' egg blue coating of Hemimorphite. Individual quartz prisms to almost 4 cm jut out from the blue mass in a very 3 dimensional display. To many folks this is a much more interesting form than the usual crusts and this example is damage free, esthetic and reasonably priced
SOLD Kesterite with Mushingtonite on Quartz, Muscovite etc.
stock #SOLD 7 AE-403
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu, Huya
Sichuan, China
10.7x8.9CM (cabinet)
price: $0

A thin concave plate of matrix typical of the Xuebaoding deposits that has crystals of most of the known minerals from here (Aquamarines, Scheelites, Cassiterites, Quartz, Muscovite etc). However, these are just the background for dozens of fine, sharp Kesterites coated by the equaly rare Mushingtonite. This is unquestionably the worlds best locality for these uncommon minerals, and these are excellent examples. Individual crystals reach about 1 CM though most are smaller. Clusters to about 3CM show the many forms and complex twinning well. A great combination piece this would usualy be trimmed into many fine thumbnails and miniatures but we chose to offer it as a rarely seen larger display specimen.
SOLD Hematite (Rainbow Stalactitic Goethite)
stock #SOLD 7AE-458
Nandan, Dachang Tin area
Guanxi, China
10.5 x 10 CM (cabinet)
price: $0

Irridescent thin stalactitic growths in a tight cluster showing a classic form . This material had been marketed as Siderite by some dealers, and priced very high. It is not Siderite, but it is very attractive and a great example of this small find. This piece has some contacts but not that distract from the display quality. Comparisonsto some classic Geothite/ Hematite finds in Europe and the USA s inevitable. This materials is similar in many ways but far less pricey!
Ferberite with Arsenopyrite and Quartz
stock #7-13C-429
Yaogangxian Tungsten Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan, China
8.8 x 5.3 CM (cabinet)
price: $1250

A large ferberite crystal that is perfect is very rare. So often there are cleaved edges or damaged, incomplete terminations. Not here! With the addition of a sharp and shiny arsenopyrite crystal at the base and contrasting muscovite this is an exceptional specimen. The main crystal is fully perfect as are all the others except one smaller crystal. That crystal is on the back side, with a cleave on one edge but is not visible from the display sides. Great luster, stands unaided and with a very attractive price for a far above normal piece.
