Cerussite - USA classic locale
stock #21.1-484
Bunker Hill Mine, Jersey Level, Kellogg, Coeur dAlene District, Shosone
Idaho, United States
4.3 x 3.1 x 3.1 (miniature)
price: $850
Post Tucson 2022

A killer miniature Cerussite in exceptional condition from the famed Bunker Hill Mine (Idaho, USA). From the Rudolf Kluiber collection, this was collected in 1981 on the Jersey level that would later become famed for the world class Pyromorphite finds. The crystals are well-perched on the matrix, most are twinned but each arm of these twins is a perfect prismatic crystal with textbook terminations. Remarkable for such a delicate mineral to be undamaged but this is impressive in that way.

Pyromorphite
stock #15.1-563
Bunker Hill Mine, Jersey Level, Kellogg, Coeur dAlene District, Shosone
Idaho, United States
4.8 x 3.7 x 2 CM (miniature)
price: $720

A wet-look Pyromorphite from Bunker Hill with light orange to straw color crystals. Ex Rosewarne Collection, this has crystals up to 1.8 CM most having the slightly "melted" look on some edges and faces. In fine condition overall, the crystals are quite translucent and when backlit they glow yellow . Bunker Hill is now recognized as one of the worlds greatest sources of Pyromorphites and the range of color was especially significant. Orange color Pyromorphite is rare worldwide but Bunker Hill did produce many impressive pieces, reputedly due to higher levels of Arsenic but that seems to be in dispute. No matter why these are wonderful Pyros, modern classics and there are no more coming out.

Cerussite with Anglesite and Linarite - US Classic locale
stock #18.1-241
Bunker Hill Mine, Jersey Level, Kellogg, Coeur dAlene District, Shosone
Idaho, United States
3.1 x 2.7 x 1.8 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $125

From the famed Bunker Hill Mine, this is a choice small specimen of sharply crystallized Cerussite with a few small Anglesite prisms as well. Both twins and single crystals are noted. The matrix also includes some small bits of Linarite and what looks like Caledonite in spots on Cerussites. Choice cognac color and sharp form protected in a shallow vug. The condition in the vug is good, the only notable damage is outside the vug itself. Choice for the locale and an attractive Lead secondary from this famed Pyromorphite locality.

7.2 x 3.2 x 2.5 CM (cabinet)

An excellent Pyromorphite in fine condition from the now classic Bunker Hill mine. Excellent color with both bright yellow and orange zones. Two generations of crystals are present most with wet look luster. Sharp hexagonal barrel type crystals to nearly 2 CM are the first generation, some are hoppered but most have flat terminations. The last generation of sparkling micro crystals on top adds a nice touch. Better in person this can be displayed from almost any angle.

This is the wet-look luster that is most desirable from Bunker Hill and the melted type form of the Hexagonal crystals. An esthetic arrangement with well defined three dimensional form. The color is the distinctive bright orange best known from this locale. An American classic.

Pyromorphite -multicolor Arsenian

Idaho, United States
3.2 x 2.5 x 2 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))

Pre Holiday 2017

Brilliant wetlook luster and intense color with the melted style crystals make this an impressive piece. There was one significant pocket found decades ago that yielded this unusual habit and brilliant shine. Most of the display face is the rare deep orange red color but there is also bright yellow and green on the display face. The hexagons are distinct yet look to be coated with a melted surface of micro crystals. Striking.

Bright and very well formed, sharp Pyro crystals in fine condition. The crystals are in free standing sprays on a drusy coated matrix. Very esthetic and lustrous, this is a relatively uncommon color for any Pyromorphite and a nice addition to any suite of the mineral.

Sweet and choice wet-look deep orange reddish Pyromorphite from the classic Bunker Hill. Distinct botryoidal crystals with clear faces can be easily seen. In fine condition with great luster the form is a little like a mushroom. Excellent toenail size with fine impact for the size.
