A Tanzanite crystal with excellent color change. This is well terminated, glassy deep blue to purple crystal in good condition. The tip of the termination is especially transparent and shows a nice blue "cloud" inside. The backside of the crystal shows a more complex area that has stepped faces and is likely a recrystallized contact. A nice specimen of the specie that is reasonably priced

Radiating cluster of fine terminated Prehnite crystals from the famed Merelani Hills best known for its Tanzanite. In fine condition by naked eye, some very minor bruising is seen with magnification, but overall the visual impression is pristine. This is also a color-changing Prehnite and can look green to a gray-blue depending on the light source. Some of the crystals also show slight rotation or twisting like some of the classic European Alpine specimens.

The gem Diopside crystals from Merlani are modern classics and can have brilliant form as seen here. The color is a yellow to pale greenish hue and the crystals are complete all around, undamaged and statuesque. The contrast with the Graphite adds a nice balance and the complex modified terminations are very distinctive. Good luster with gem clear areas but more translucent than transparent overall.

A really cute, bright specimen covered in sharp, gem grade Demantoid Garnets offset by a Quartz crystal. Finds of these Garnets have been sporadic and very few have had this sculptural form, grown on a Diopside base. The Garnets fully cover the matrix on all sides, the smallest are a yellow color and the largest as seen are the Demantoid green. In great condition, damage-free and very lustrous, this is much better in person.

Small yet with incredible impact and esthetics. The combination of the mint-green Diopside gem clear crystals perched on bladed Graphite crystals is impressive. In fine condition, there are unidentified hairlike crystals as well best seen with magnification. A great example of this highly sought after combination, this looks great from all sides.

5.3 x 1.5 x 1 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $2250
An very impressive, sizable and sharp crystal with great luster and strong color change wit the added feature of a well defined internal color zone stripe that is very rare. Displays great with good clarity, only one very tiny edge chip is noted that is almost invisible to the naked eye, and not visible from the best display side. The most impressive feature is the distinct color changes as this is rotated, The color is an intense blue, then a zoned green, rich purple and from along the c axis a strong red. With good backlight a small yellow zone is also seen. With the costs of even average gem Tanzanite being incredibly high, this is an exceptional piece at a great price.
