Bright green Brochantite crystals standing on end in a dense cluster. The matrix is mostly Brochantite as well, and formed of packed needles. The larger, thicker crystals are quite robust and these have a fine silky luster. From the epic finds at Milpillas, these Brochantites are one of the great surprises from the oxidized zone of this incredible Copper mine.

Spring update
Undamaged, bright luster, intense deep blue and esthetic, a fine small miniature from Milpillas. The crystals on this piece show both classic sharp prismatic faces and the large curved faces that have a more satin luster. Recognized as one of the greatest mineral finds of all time, this mine produced many good specimens, so the prices have been relatively low for this sort of quality. Better in person and a great value for the most desirable "electric" color.

Pre Holiday 2017
A well formed, bright stack of Cuprite crystals from the great Milpillas mine, better known for world class Azurites. This find of Cuprites created a big stir 2 years ago, but few were undamaged or had crystals much over a few millimeters. This piece is far better than average, in excellent condition damage wise and the crystals are stacked in an esthetic epitaxial arrangement. These octahedrons all will glow bright red with focused light passing through them, the photos here are only made with typical display lighting, so as not to be misleading. When these were first found the prices being charged were incredibly high, this is a lot more reasonable, yet a fine quality piece, by comparison a really good value.

A top esthetic Milpillas Azurite presenting an elegant cluster of perfect, sharp, crystals on contrasting matrix. Not a typical specimen, this form and habit are quite rare from Mexico. Textbook prismatic crystals reach 2 CM in size and are undamaged. Milpillas produced many great specimens while it was producing but specimens like this were never common. Choice.

Spring 2017
The type of bright electric blue Azurite that was major news in the mineral world. The association of crystallized Malachite adds an strong contrast to the lustrous Azurite crystals. In good condition, there is chipping at outer sides but the center is clean and undamaged. Better in person; when these were first found a specimen of this quality would be priced in the thousands. This was a huge find and so the prices have become much more affordable for a choice Azurite. As of 2014 the Azurite zone is finished and no more is expected.

Spring 2014
An extremely large (over 3-1/2 inches) single compound crystal of Azurite is partly altered to a silky green Malachite, yet still has large areas of deep blue. Somewhat blocky and crude but with strong and clear form this is an impressive piece and one of the largest single crystal pseudos that have come from this prolific location. Esthetic and with strong display presence, this was mined in 2011. A very good value.
An extraordinary, delicate, electric green Brochantite from what may be the best discovery ever of the species. In person the color is an intense emerald green deeper than can be rendered on most computer monitors. Perfect condition, strong esthetics and intense color make this piece stand out in any display. There have been only a few small pockets of Brochantite over the past few years at Milpillas which is far better known for incredible Azurites. There have been very few fine specimens in these finds, and none recently. Without a doubt these will be regarded as some of the best of the specie ever seen, and are a fine affordable investment. This specimen can be shipped with special arrangements but it is far safer to deliver in person at a major show or by other arrangement.
