Sparkling pink balls of Thompsonite on a contrasting matrix- a very attractive specimen of this usually drab mineral. The outer surfaces of the balls are covered with tiny needle crystals that make the luster far more bright than most typical Thompsonite. This is from a small find about 6 years ago that was unlike any Thompsonite found before or since, and were perhaps the best specimens ever. We sold this piece some time ago it is now back and we are happy to have it. One edge of this piece has balls that show the inner structure along the side. The overall quality, color and condition is excellent and this is a super example of this more uncommon Zeolite. A colorful and attractive addition to any suite of Zeolites or Indian minerals.
A remarkable Barite from any place but especial exotic being from India. The core of this piece is a single elongated Barite prism that has been overgrown with oriented clear Barites in perfect alignment. In fine undamaged condition, this was from a small recent find. The Barites from this find have been called "scepters" but they seem to be more complex than that and more an epitaxial chain habit.

A sparkling pink hemisphere of Thomsonite sits esthetically on a contrasting matrix. From a pocket found a few years ago, these pink Thompsonite were an exciting new find then, unlike any others with a covering of tiny needles of Mesolite that gave a nice luster. In fine condition, these are no longer available, and at that time very few were undamaged like this. A great addition to any suite of Indian or Zeolite minerals.

Most Thomsonite is not especially esthetic or display worthy unless it has form and color like this. Here is a pretty pink ball with sparkling micro crystals all over the surface. The matrix is a light green hue making a nice contrast. This is in fine condition from a small pocket found in 2011.
A sculptural arrangement of elongated crystals of Apophyllite with green inclusions and some zoning due to Celedonite inclusions. In fine condition and with great form this stands out among the many average pieces from the famed Deccan traps of India. As fine minerals from many locales have become so incredibly expensive, it is still possible to build a suite of top notch Indian minerals for a relatively modest investment.

Thompsonite is usually a drab, plain white mineral but this find was something very special. In 2011 a small find of sparkling pink balls on a contrasting dark greenish matrix was made. There were very few pieces that were not damaged, and none found since. This is a pristine smaller piece with a single ball covered with sparkling micro needles. In good light it has a sort of cauliflower or brain-like look. A nice example that is a pretty addition to a zeolite or Indian mineral suite.
