Classic Chumar style pink Apatite with a sharp, gemmy crystal well positioned on minimal matrix. Super glassy luster and good transparency. The front display surface is in excellent condition, there is contacting on the back/ underside but no breakage. Presents well. Ex Sal Avella, these have become quite scarce in this better quality.

Alchuri, Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Baltistan
Northern Areas,
Pakistan
2.9 x 1 x .5 CM (miniature)
price: $240
pre Tucson 2015 update
A gem clear Zoisite crystal that is not at all like the usual from Tanzania. This is a nice small example with well defined striations and habit that is also distinct and shows dichroism. This came out over 10 years ago and since then we have not seen any. A minor chip is noted with magnification so this is not for the picky perfectionist, but it is a nice displayable gem crystal that is affordable. A rare example from an unusual locality.

pre Tucson 2015 update
A very cute small specimen with sharp Tourmalines that grade from a bottle-green to colorless at the termination. Nice esthetics and fine form. There is no damage at all on the display side. A tiny chip on a small crystal on the back of the piece that can not be seen is the only issue to mention and it is quite minor. The contrast with the feldspar is great, this is a vintage 1980's piece ex Larry White Collection.

Spring 2014
A nice, clear, sharp undamaged small specimen that won't break the bank! ex Larry White collection, the tip of the Beryl is glass clear and the main shaft has a milky internal zone. It still is possible to find an affordable specimen that is a perfect condition, esthetic miniature.
A big, rich and esthetic specimen presenting a perfect, sharp blue Beryl 4.4 CM across. No damage at all, the top portion of the crystal is gem clear but the rest is translucent "milky" with some white veils. The architecture of this specimen is excellent and the contrast of color and texture is strong. Even with lots of Aquas from Pakistan, this stands out as a very fine and eye-catching specimen. For this quality, the price is very reasonable.
