Boltwoodite
stock #20.1-285
Goanikontes Claim, Goanikontes, Arandis
Erongo Region, Namibia
5.7 x 4.4 x 2.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $220

Several delicate sprays of Boltwoodite crystals up to 1.3 CM (quite large for the specie) from Namibia. The small Uranium prospect at Goanikantes (Erongo region) was once the source of the worlds best Boltwoodites. This is a good example with moderate yellow color and nice contrast to the dark matrix. We can deliver this at any of the shows we attend but shipping must be arranged in advance.

Epidote with Albite
stock #20.1-108
Amis Gorge, Brandburg Complex, Daures
Erongo Region, Namibia
6.8 x 4.8 x 3 CM (cabinet)
price: $330
Spring 2020

Sharp dark green free standing Epidote mixed with contrasting Feldspar (Albite) crystals. From a small find made almost 20 years ago, this is far above average and displays well from any angle. The condition of the crystals is very fine. Unlike any other Epidotes from Namibia and even quite unlike most any location anyplace else.

Elbaite -gem Tourmaline
stock #19.1-342
Usakos, Karibib District
Erongo Region, Namibia
2.7 x .9 x .9 CM (thumbnail)
price: $160

A single, doubly terminated and gemmy clear Elbaite crystal from the Karibib. Namibian gem Tourmaline of any quality has become quite uncommon, it was last being found almost 20 years ago. Complete and in nice condition this one shows the striated faces and flat terminations that is typical of these Karibib crystals. Nearly all facet grade, the interior is transparent and clear deep green.

Andradite var Demantoid
stock #18.1-695
Tubussis Farm 22, Daures
Erongo Region, Namibia
6.2 x 5.4 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $875

A fine cluster of stacked Demantoid Garnets that contrasts well with the matrix. Excellent color and luster, the main Garnets are 2.6 CM tall and in fine condition. No damage seen even under high magnification. The matrix is a mix of Quartz, Calcite and Prehnite, this holds several smaller Andradites as well. These were big mineral news a few years ago when they were more available, these are now quite scarce.

Beryl V. Aquamarine- unusual stepped termination
stock #17.1-536
Hohenstein Massif, Omaruru District
Erongo Region, Namibia
3.7 x 3.7 x 3.3 CM (miniature)
price: $1250

A bizzare, unique, rare but attractive Aquamarine. From the Erongo Mountains, (Hohenstien Massif) this is a complete, doubly terminated crystal. The flat termination is typical although in this case the corners have modified faces. The real interest is the other termination that is a series of hexagonal steps that are perfectly centered like a stairway or a turret. The 4 main steps or platforms are very flat and some edges have a little etching, the whole is therefore a reversed scepter. Some minor contacting/chipping is noted but overall the condition is excellent. A good display piece but especially a great addition for a suite of Namibian/ Erongo minerals, Beryls or exotic crystal forms.

Fluorite -enclosing Shorl
stock #18.1-592
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
3.5 x 3.4 x 2.4 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $320

The Erongo Mountains sometimes produce some very exotic and amazing Fluorites. This is an excellent example with stacked "melted look" crystals completely enclosing crystals and sprays of Schorl. The Fluorites are all Spinel twinned, the highly etched surface gives an unusual look and the whole piece is simply bizarre. In fine condition a neat small miniature.

Fluorite on Microcline
stock #17.1-526
Hohenstein Massif, Omaruru District
Erongo Region, Namibia
6.8 x 5.8 x 3.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $320
Late Summer 2018

A sculptural matrix hosts well exposed octahedral Fluorites from Erongo. The Fluorites are a dark green and quite translucent (they glow with a good backlight, which also reveals a dark purple core) A different sort of look and esthetic presentation, this display well from any angle. No visible damage to the Fluorites.

Fluorite (globular crystals) with Schorl
stock #17.1-304
Hohenstein Massif, Omaruru District
Erongo Region, Namibia
8.1 x 4.9 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $450
Late Summer 2018

Very odd but also quite attractive, a mass of rounded translucent Fluorite crystals stacked on each other. A few Schorl crystals and a little Hyalite opal add some contrast but this is nearly all Fluorite. The color is the "jellybean green" and a vitreous luster. In fine condition and in person more impressive. From a 2017 find on Hohenstein massif, the major specimen source now in the Erongo. It has been incredible how many different types and forms of Fluorite have been found here, often unique to a single pocket.
