An unbelievable new find! We were able to obtain what so far are the best pieces of the small but impressive pocket in Malegon, Nasik, India. The red to orange Scolecite is in a rounded mass composed of radiating needles. An impressive matrix for the small spheres of Chalcedony (or technically agate) looking like fish eggs in multiple colors. These were named "caviar agate" shortly after they first appeared, and are an amazing companion to the "grape agates" from Indonesia. This has the caviar eggs on small needle-like stalks with excellent form, color and quality. Displays brilliantly under good light as seen in these photos. A fine addition to any suite of Quartz, Agates, Indian trap minerals or simply esthetics.

A killer thumbnail of conjoined scepters with amazing form and perfection. The scepter heads have many tiny inclusions that look like rutile but could be lepidocrocite or similar material. The delicate purple color is softly zoned and all is fully transparent. No damage, from recent finds at Karur, we are very active seeking good materials from this locality, it has great potential but produces very few fine pieces like this. Exceptional for the locale or from anyplace. Choice, esthetic and really unusual.

A nice classic Franklin, New Jersey Willemite crystal well exposed on Calcite. Likasi, Katanga Copper Crescent
Katanga (Shaba),
Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire)
5.1 X 5 X 4 CM (miniature)

Clear Barite crystals with some blebs and wisps of bright green Malachite inside and on the prisms. from the great Shaba Crescent area, this is a nice example. As is typical for this locale, magnification shows several bruises but most of the main crystals are in reasonable clean condition. Though not right for a perfectionist, this is still a good display specimen and these are no longer coming out from the Congo.
