Super cute small miniature of a single terminated Quartz crystal decorated with red-pink Rhodochrosite crystals. The Rhodos are in the rhomb form, fairly sharp with some stepped edges, complete on all sides and undamaged. From the classic finds at Pasto Bueno (Peru), this is an nicely esthetic specimen of a style not seen in a long time.

A well-formed elongated stack of cubic green Fluorite crystals with purple zones. From the Erongo mountains we normally see some elongated spinel twins or octahedral crystals in chains but this stack of cubes is very unusual. The chain has a slight taper towards the base and also has a very slight twist on close exam. A unique, complete undamaged specimen that looks fine on all sides, a minor contact on the base and perfect termination on top.

A blocky matrix hosts a well-crystallized patch of creamy Smithsonite crystals mixed with bright lemon-yellow and orange Paradamites. A choice and colorful specimen that shows this rare specie very well. Paradamite from Ojuela is considered to be the world’s best, it is a highly sought after uncommon specie. These crystals reach to 8MM in size and are in excellent condition, the Smithsonite adds a nice contrast. Matrix on this piece is a sold blocky type that is not the crumbly and fragile sort. This looks fine by naked eye and is amazing under magnification. The main crystallized area on the matrix is 5.5 CM across. A very good value for a cabinet sized Paradamite.

Glassy transparent pink color Garnets with emerald green cores on matrix. One of the great treasures found decades ago at the long gone Jeffrey Mine (Asbestos, Quebec) these are modern classics. Very hard to find now in any quality today on the market this piece has excellent luster and several clustered grossular crystals that are complete. Some edge damage exists but the important crystals are fine. Despite the "clustering" the individual crystals are still defined and very bright. For any suite of Garnets these are a must, this habit has never been found anyplace else on earth and there were not many found back then. "Frog-Egg" Garnets are usually very expensive, this piece offers very good value for cost.

A choice and uncommon true colorless Fluorite from the Elmwood Mine. In excellent condition, the main 2.8 CM cube is sharp, clear and colorless. The matrix can be seen through the Fluorite which is very unusual from Elmwood which is world famed for its dark purple to blue colors. Most of the colorless fluorites from here that we have seen are quite frosted and or have a noticeable tint of purple. This sharp clear form is really unusual.

Fingers of Chrysocolla and Malachite are covered by a layer of sparkling clear Quartz crystals. From recent new finds at Tenke-Fungurume (DR Congo). The inner core of these fingers is Malachite which has been alleged to be pseudomorphed after Azurite, but that is no clearly established. No matter what the origin, the resulting form, luster and color are superb and have a powerful display impact in person. This small miniature is in fine condition with no damage except at the base where this was removed. One finger has an old break on it that shows the inner core of Malachite; it has long since been overgrown by the clear Quartz crystals and adds some contrast. This material reminds us of some older finds in Arizona yet this habit is distinctly different than those, a unique form from the Congo. This find had made big mineral news and most such pieces were gobbled up quickly. Much better in person, the sparkle is best appreciated in hand.
Hutchinsonite with Barite

This rare Thallium specie is almost unheard of in displayable cabinet sided specimens. This is a fine example from an old find at Quiruvilca, with crystals up to 3mm on a huge, (for the specie), Barite matrix. The Barite color and the matrix is a reddish violet, perhaps caused by Realgar and overall there is great luster. It is rare to find a displayable example of this substantial size, it is the largest we have ever seen. Thallium as a dominant element in minerals is not at all common, the crystals of Hutchinsonite are scattered as individuals and sprays most of which are in good condition when magnified but there are some broken zones which is typical of this very fragile mineral.

A delicate, slender finger or stalactite of Goethite is richly covered by bright red small crystals of Vanadinite. From a single pocket find about 4 years ago at Taouz (Morocco), this habit is impressive and unusual amongst the vast number of Vanadinites that have been found. In fine condition.
