Cabrerite (Magnesian Annabergite)
stock #20.1-917
Kamariza Mines, Aglos Konstantinos, Laviron Mining District, Lavreotiki
Attica, Greece
6.4 x 5.5 x 4.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $140
new year 2021

Colorful crystals of Cabrerite from the famed mines of Laviron. This rare variety of Annabergite is usually found as micro crystals up to about 2mm. These crystals are still small but reach 6mm so they are huge for this variety. Several sprays, vugs and masses are scattered on the matrix, most are associated with scalenohedral Calcites.

Serpierite with Ktenasite
stock #8 GRC-1006
Kamariza Mines, Aglos Konstantinos, Laviron Mining District, Lavreotiki
Attiki Prefecture Laurion District, Greece
10.7 x 7 CM (cabinet)
price: $200

A bright, sparkling and very 3 dimensional piece of these two rare minerals from the classic locality of Laurion. Excellent coverage and color. Serpierite is a sky blue hydrated sulfate and the mid member of the Deviline and Rapidcreekite series. It is nice to have a rare mineral that is also cabinet sized and pretty since this is usually available just as micro specimens!
