A hefty (7.6 gram), sharp and glassy Phenakite crystal from old finds in Minas Gerais (Brazil). It is hard to be certain but it certainly looks like this crystal is twinned; most are. The underside (or backside) has a large rehealed and recrystallized area that had been broken long ago. There is an unhealed break on one edge so this is not perfect 360 degrees but the display side looks flawless. The transparency and luster are great in person, this is a good sized and flashy crystal from a locality that has become a classic in Brazil but seems to be no longer producing.
