Sharp and transparent crystals of Selenite in an aligned cluster. These are textbook perfect in form, and oddly enough show no signs of true twinning which is the more common habit. As seen this is in fine condition, no damage but some very minor edge wear is noted just to be comprehensive. Selenite is not rare at all but super fine clear crystals like this are really uncommon. The stack of individual crystals is perfectly oriented and a nice example of epitaxy.

Spring 2019
Textbook perfect, sharp and transparent, a single doubly terminated Selenite from the famed Naica Mine. This is a 1970s vintage specimen in fine condition as seen. There are a few wispy inclusions that are not visible on some display angles, the exterior luster is very glassy with a few areas with very minor frosting. Overall this is a choice example. The Naica mine produced a lot of Selenite in its day. Not much that came out was this fine, most had some damage or edge issues. Now that the mine is closed these better specimens are becoming treasures.

Spring update
Exceptional quality and esthetics, these blue Anyhydite crystals in the flat blade form are dusted with small sparkling Calcites. Older specimen from Naica, that produced some of the worlds best Anhydrite crystals, now quite uncommon on the market and very rare in this quality. Sharp undamaged terminations and baby-blue color. The tiny Calcites are mostly colorless transparent, doubly terminated scalenohedrons but some have dark unknown inclusions as well. Ex Hitchings collection, this in an early 1960 vintage piece. Naica is now flooded and seems it will not again be worked.
An excellent psuedomorph from Naica with bright, lustrous metallic gold and silver hues. The condition is excellent and the esthetics are far better than most. These have occasionally been found in this famed mine, but never very many and none for some years.

Post Tucson 2015
A cute, gem clear crystallized and esthetic Selenite from the famed Naica Mine. Crystals to 4 CM long are sharp and undamaged with perfect transparency. Selenite (Gypsum) is a common mineral but good specimens like this are rare. The photos look somewhat cloudy inside the crystals however in person they are all absolutely clear with excellent luster

pre Tucson 2015 update
A nice, clear example of the classic Naica Mine Fluorite with beveled edge cubes on contrasting Galena. Some back edge chips are noted so this is priced to be especially affordable but it displays like a much more expensive piece.
Fluorite on Dolomite with Chalcopyrite
stock #8.1-445
Naica Mine. Naica, Municipio de Saucillo
Chihuahua,
Mexico
6.4 x 5.6 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $250
An older piece (60s vintage) from the John Marshall collection, this is distinctly different from more recent materials from Naica. Clear, transparent Fluorites are well placed on a contrasting matrix. The crystals are undamaged, bright, gemmy and have slightly curved faces. Displays very well, this will be a great addition to any Fluorite collection.
