Chrysocolla fingers with Quartz coatings
stock #13.1-176
Ray Mine, Ray District, Dripping Springs Mountain, Pinal county
Arizona, United States
3.6 x 2.1 x 1.2 CM (miniature)
price: $550
Late Summer 2021

A cluster of Chrysocolla "fingers" with perfect, undamaged tips from the Ray Mine,(Arizona, USA). Sometimes called stalactites, that is not technically correct as there is no central canal or hole in the middle. This has excellent turquoise color and a pearly luster. Close exam shows the thin layer of Quartz that is like a skin over the Chrysocolla. It is very hard to find such perfect examples with all the fingers intact. A colorful and classic USA copper specie.

Copper - spinel twin
stock #20.1-304-(LW631)
Ray Mine, Ray District, Dripping Springs Mountain, Pinal county
Arizona, United States
2.8 x .9 x .5 CM (thumbnail)
price: $90
new year 2021

Slender, elongated spinel twins of Copper from this classic USA locality. This looks fine from all angles; it comes from the Larry White thumbnail collection. A good example for the location and a choice thumbnail.

Copper with Cuprite
stock #18.1-281
Ray Mine, Ray District, Dripping Springs Mountain, Pinal county
Arizona, United States
6.1 x 5.7 x 4.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $160
Worldwide mix summer

A thin fan like sheet and branching Copper crystals that is partly coated with Cuprite. The Cuprite is in epitaxial crystals and flattened on the Copper. From the Ray mine where many fine Coppers were found, this example is illustrative of the thin vein fillings and coatings that were so significant there. In fine condition and a colorful example, some secondary Copper oxides add a green color to contrast the red Cuprite and metallic Copper hues.
