Andradite
stock #13.1-260
Sadiola Mine
Kayes Region, Mali
5.6 x 4.9 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $390
new year 2021

Very sharp and perfectly formed Andradite Garnets from the famous Mali finds. This specimen was one of a very small number selected from a large lot. A small percentage of these garnets can show very fine perfection and overall esthetics that makes them world class for the specie. This specimen has a dark brown mahogany color and is translucent on the crystal edges. In outstanding condition, the underside is the area of removal but the top and sides are perfectly clean, undamaged.

Stilbite on Prehnite
stock #15.1-495
Sadiola Mine
Kayes Region, Mali
7.3 x 3.5 x 3.3 CM (cabinet)
price: $400
Pre Holiday 2017

A slender fingerlike growth of green prehnite that is studded with pale yellow Stilbite crystals. In undamaged condition this displays well on all sides. This is from the discoveries in Mali that have produced a lot of good Epidote, but such very fine stilbite /Prehnite specimens are far more rare. This was selected from several hundred specimens as an especially esthetic piece.

Epidote and Prehnite
stock #15.1-498
Sadiola Mine
Kayes Region, Mali
5.8 x 4.9 x 4.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $240
Pre Holiday 2017

A superb small cabinet Epidote and Prehnite specimen from the prolific find in Mali. Of the many specimens that have come out few have this bright luster, color and esthetics. The Prehnite ball is elegantly encased by the Epidote crystals that are in perfect condition. Far better than typical "mine run" quality. Due to the large recent production, this is an economical yet very choice specimen.

Epidote & Prehnite
stock #10.1-278
Sadiola Mine
Kayes Region, Mali
5.9 x 4.6 x 3 CM (cabinet)
price: $220

The Mali Prehnites with Epidote can be wonderfully esthetic and this is great example of fine form and color. Even though the location has been very productive for a few years it now seems to be tapering off. The better pieces from this find are destined to appreciate and become classics. Meanwhile this is quite affordable for such a pretty and pristine specimen.
