4.5 x 3.8 x 2.7 CM (miniature)
price: $650
Pre Tucson
Very fine light yellow-green crystals of Adamite arranged in the "pinwheel" type of radiating spray. A choice miniature in excellent undamaged condition from the classic finds about 20 years ago at Mina Ojuela. Good Mexican Adamites were once rather plentiful but this quality and form were never common. These are now quite hard to find and this is an especially elegant and esthetic piece. The radiating sprays exceed 2 CM across, these contrast with the gossan matrix. Displays well from most any angle, and the matrix is not the ultra fragile, crumbly type.

Spring 23
A bubbly gossan matrix hosts a group of lustrous purple Adamite crystals. The purple Adamites at Mina Ojuela are the rarest of colors and practically unknown from anyplace else. This specimen also has some micro crystal clusters of Lothameyerite. The Adamites are translucent to transparent and have some zoning of the color. Often called Manganoan Adamite, these crystals are sharp, well-terminated and contrast well with the matrix. A very good value for a miniature of this usually far more expensive variety of Adamite.

Fall 22
A killer hemisphere of green Adamite crystals resting on a second generation of red-brown Adamite and Calcite. An older piece from Mina Ojuela which has produced so many great Adamites in a wide array of forms. One of the most sought after is the compound ball or hemisphere form. This ball is large (almost 4 CM across) with fine luster as seen. One side shows the rounded faces of the cluster of Adamite crystals that form the ball. The opposite side is completely different, it is concave to flattish with a rim of sharper more defined prismatic crystal that have extra bright luster. The Matrix is the usual gossan but well covered with sharp Adamite crystals that seem to be included by some of the Hematite giving a reddish color. The ball itself is vividly fluorescent and all is in fine condition.
A very fine and impressive Adamite from the famed Mina Ojuela. Aside from the rich covering of crystals, this is particularly choice due to the crystals having two colors, the core of these is a purple-magenta while the exterior is a yellow-green hue. The exterior color seems to vary depending on the light used, but the hue is more yellow than green under most lighting. Of the many colors of Adamite from Ojuela the most rare and sought after is the purple (manganoan). The combination of this with the yellow-green is quite esthetic. Most collectors agree the Adamites from this locale are the world's best and highly respected. In excellent condition and better in person.

Early summer 2021
Lustrous green spherical clusters of Adamite crystals contrasting with a dark gossan matrix. An esthetic yet affordable Adamite, this is also intensely fluorescent. Adamites have been found for decades at Mina Ojuela and are common in the mineral market. Good complete balls are much more rare and the vivid green is especially choice. These balls are translucent to transparent, glassy, apple green and have a "wet-look" luster. A choice piece and better in person.
