Amethyst - modern classic locale
stock #23.1-363
Goboboseb Mts., Brandberg area,
Erongo Region, Namibia
7.3 x 5.6 x 5.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $370
Spring 23

A pair of perfect Amethyst crystals on matrix from Goboboseb (Namibia). The crystals are fully transparent with a deep purple core zone and more light-smokey toward the terminations. The matrix has been sawn on the bottom and sides to extract this without damage, there are no repairs. Both tips are perfect, undamaged even viewed at strong magnification. The range and quality of Goboboseb Amethyst is broad and amazing. We are fortunate that this remote location has been one of the world's best sources of fine Quartz and Amethyst at reasonable cost. A good value for a nice specimen in this size and price range.

Quartz var. Amethyst "finger"
stock #23.1-354
Sidi Rahal, El Kelaa des Sraghna Province
Marrakech-Tensft- El Haouz Region, Morocco
9.3 x 7.8 x5.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $600
Spring 23

An unusual but very attractive Quartz specimen from the remarkable lava flow at Sidi Rahal (Morocco). This is a section of a pocket that was lined with sparkling small Amethyst crystals. The main interest however is the finger or tower-like growth that stands up from the rest, and is also covered on all sides with Amethyst crystals. In fine condition and attractive on all sides. This is from an unusual pocket found in 2016. We have not seen other such pieces on the market since.

stock #17.1-845
Mule Creek, Steeple Rock district, Grant County
New Mexico, United States
8 x 1.9 x 1.4 CM (cabinet)
price: $140
Worldwide mix summer

An unusual and esthetic pale Amethyst that is scepter-like but with ten terminations on the cap. Some colorless secondary growths are evident and the condition is quite choice, the only damage is at the bottom or base where this wqas removed. Collected some decades ago by Paul Yung, this is a clean, odd but attractive US Quartz. The color is a little deeper in person.

Amethyst -

Boekenhoutshoek, Mkobola
Mpumalanga, South Africa
7.3 x 5.6 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $290
new june 17

From the find 3 years ago in the almost unpronounceable locale of Boekenhoutshoek, Mkobola. This is the sought after deep purple color that has not been found in more recent digging there. This small cabinet piece has excellent form and color. "Cactus" habit quartz are usually much more pale or are not even purple. The royal purple this piece has is the most uncommon and most desired. In fine undamaged condition,
