Copper - well-crystallized
stock #6.2-807
Tongshan Mine, Guichi Dist., Chizhou Pref.
Anhui Province, China
6.8 x 4.8 x 5.3 CM (cabinet)
price: $650

Well-defined, sharp Copper crystals from China are very rare on the market, nearly non-existent. I can not recall seeing better formed crystals than these, most are quite crude or flat habit. These crystals are very well formed, mostly dodecahedral with some modified cubes. The Copper matrix is a spongy mass with a reddish color composed of more tiny copper crystals and masses. A nice copper from anyplace but outstanding from China. We obtained this in China in 2008, sold it then and now have it back again.

Fluorite -Spherical form
stock #AX-15-059-(167)
Caolou Mine, Huoqui Co. Luan Prefecture
Anhui Province, China
8 x 7.8 x 6.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $850
Spring update

A big purple ball on matrix from finds at Anhui Province in the 2004-5 era. Ex Shields Flynn collection obtained from Bert Ottens at that time. Some translucency is seen with strong backlighting, the ball is 5 CM diameter has a soft matte luster. Some mottling is on the surface adds a little texture. The isolation of the ball and condition are very good, this quality is not available now. An excellent addition to any good Fluorite collection, this habit is rare worldwide and this is a choice example.

Azurite & Malachite
stock #AX-15-259
Liufengshan Mine, Guichi Dist., Chizhou Pref
Anhui Province, China
8 x 5.5 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $750
Winter 2016-17

Bright colors, well-crystallized and in excellent condition, this is far better than most Chinese Azurites. Ex Shields Flynn collection, the luster and structure is similar to some Milpillas specimens, but with careful examination the Anhui "look" is seen. Very three dimensional and with a rich wet look that is very eye-catching.

Azurite with minor Malachite
stock #4.2-539
Tongshan Mine, Guichi Dist., Chizhou Pref.
Anhui Province, China
7.4 x 6.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $140

A big, bright blue sparkling specimen with Azurite crystals densely packed on the display faces. The copper deposits in this area of Anhui province have been mined for thousands of years, probably the longest continuous operation on earth. Small scale mining lets specimens escape the huge crushers that are used elsewhere. Very attractive and affordable.

Native Silver wires on Acanthite, Calcite etc.
stock #6.2-770
Huangtongxiang Mine, Luijiang
Anhui Province, China
8.2 x 7 CM (cabinet)
price: $425

Excellent complex array of wires stand up over 3 CM from the matrix in esthetic branches. The matrix is a very rich, heavy ore with many small vugs filled with micro calcites, silvers and what looks like Chlorargyrite. A very fine Silver from a less well known Chinese locale that has not produced much for the past few years. Quite different from the Shanxi Province Silvers that are better known.
