Big and very lustrous Axinite crystals reaching 6.7 CM in size, with razor sharp edges. Transparent on the edges and translucent elsewhere, this is an older, flashy and eye-catching specimen. These have become quite rare (and very expensive) over the past decade or so, this size and quality was never common even then. Now considered a classic find, this example is a relative bargain. Some slight chipping but far less than most do and displayable without being noticeable.
The better Titanites from the remote Dodo Mine have become quite rare in this size and quality. Sharp, lustrous and fairly translucent to transparent crystals show classic twinning and sit well perched on the matrix. The main crystals are in excellent condition, fully undamaged. There are small broken crystals on the matrix that can be seen with close inspection but are not distracting. This keeps the price down yet this still displays well.
