Blue Celestite (Celestine) on matrix in an aesthetic arrangement. The condition is excellent, this from the famed Finley Arch region where this association on Dolomite is especially classic. In excellent condition and with gemmy transparency, this is a choice miniature of the specie from a little known quarry.

New Year 22
Killer thumbnail (or toenail) of of a single sharp zoned Fluorite esthetically perched on a Celestite crystal. Classic association from the Clay center area (Ohio, USA), this one from the famed White Rock Quarry. Very sharp edged and with no damage, what may look like damage in the photos is mostly internal inclusions. The Fluorite crystal is a flattened cube and also fluorescent. The zoning is subtle in person, best seen when viewed straight on, but it is well-developed and the faces are very glassy in person.

The Auglaize Quarry of Ohio is a famed locality in the Finley Arch zone. It is famed for small pockets of Fluorites that can be very sharp and iridescent. This is a nice example of the this locale which is no longer open for collecting. The Fluorites are very lustrous, those that are in the protection of the vug are in fine, undamaged condition. All have the classic "root beer" brown color and show multi color iridescence. As is usually the case these are also brightly fluorescent.

Spring 2017
A large and super esthetic Auglaize Fluorite. From the heyday of the quarry production over 20 years ago, this is an eyecatching piece with good iridescence that has to be seen in person to appreciate. The open cavity here holds dozens of small perfect orange-brown cubes that off set larger gemmy purple cubes up to 1.5 CM. This is the best large matrix piece I have seen for sale.

Spring 2017
Excellent bright blue Celestite crystals dominate this cabinet sized matrix. From the Pugh Quarry a classic US source of fine Calcite and more rarely Celestite. There is a broken crystal on the backside of the specimen that is not visible from the front. Otherwise the crystals are in excellent clean condition. A very eye-catching specimen with far better than usual color.

Post Tucson 2015
Ex John Marshall Collection, a fine zoned blue Celestite that has no attachment point, it is crystallized all around. The individual crystals reach 3.5 CM and are sharp with sky blue cores. Vintage 1970's undamaged from a now classic locale. Clay center still sometimes produces a few good specimens but this quality is not typical, the color is a little more vivid in person.
A particularly esthetic specimen of curved-face rhombohedral Calcite crystals neatly perched on a spray of Celestite. From a great, classic US locality this has an impressive and fine form. The Calcites are undamaged, ex. Doug Ervin collection.
