Barite (Baryte) - gemmy crystal included by Coronadite
stock #16.1-077
Rosh Pinah Mine, Rosh Pinah, Luderitz District
Karas Region, Namibia
5 x 3.8 x1.2 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $300
new year 2021

A golden Barite single crystal with excellent clarity and glassy luster. From finds about 5 years ago at Rosh Pinah, this crystal is included by dozens of perfectly spherical Coronadite balls, and a few are also seen on the exterior as well. These are best appreciated with some magnification which also reveals the zoned nature of the inclusions. Most of the Barite at Rosh Pinah were slender or leafy crystals, this is unusual from just one pocket with this stout form. In excellent condition, some contacting on the lower parts is noted but no damage, the faces are sharp and glassy.

SOLD Quartz - with red and black phantoms
stock #SOLD 16.1-722
Orange River, Namakwa
Karas Region, Namibia
3.6 x 2.9 x 2.7 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $0
new year 2021

Two main Quartz crystals both with distinct phantoms inside clear prisms. From the finds a few years ago at Orange river, the red color is especially deep on this specimen and the overall esthetics are choice. In excellent condition as seen, this could be trimmed to make a very strong thumbnail but I like this as is. One crystal is much more black in the phantom and the other is mostly red with just hints of black. We understand these are all Hematite inclusions but it is odd that crystals in such close proximity would be so different in color.

Amethyst- conjoined scepters
stock #17.1-663
Orange River, Namakwa
Karas Region, Namibia
2.1 x 1.4 x 1 CM (thumbnail)
price: $135
Spring 2020

A sweet thumbnail of sharp transparent Amethyst scepters that share a single stem. Both crystals show a double termination and grade to colorless lower down. From a find a few years ago at Orange River (Namibia), there were not many of these. In fine condition as seen, and a bit nicer in person too.

SOLD Quartz with Hematite inclusions
stock #SOLD 18.1-563
Orange River, Warmbad, Karasburg Dist.
Karas Region, Namibia
5.8 x 3.6 x 3.3 CM (cabinet)
price: $390

Clear Quartz with intense red to bright orange phantoms caused by Hematite inclusions. These finds at Orange river (aptly named) have been made infrequently over the past couple of decades. This is an especially choice matrix piece in fine condition and with unusually strong color. The terminations are sharp and undamaged which is also quite rare. Esthetic small cabinet size that could be trimmed to a miniature if desired but look great to us as is.

Quartz -orange phantom
stock #16.1-732
Orange River, Namakwa
Karas Region, Namibia
7.3 x 7.5 x 4.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $325
new june 17

A very unusual Orange River Quartz, with the center piece being a doubly terminated crystal with a sharp deep colored phantom and clear exterior. The matrix is also crystallized quartz with additional phantoms but more pale in color. Ex. Heini Saultau collection, this is in excellent condition with the dark phantom crystal well presented.

Quartz with Fluorite
stock #16.1-720
Orange River, Warmbad, Karasburg Dist.
Karas Region, Namibia
4.9 x 3.8 x 2.1 CM (miniature)
price: $290
Spring 2017

Yellow milky Quartz prism with sharp yellow cubes of Fluorite along an edge. A choice and pretty Orange River specimen formerly in the Heini Saultau collection. Unusual for the association and colors, this is very different from typical Quartz from this locale. The main Quartz and Fluorites are clean, undamaged. Cute and choice
