Cerussite and Dundasite
stock #19.1-407
Modra Stola, Ziate Hory, Olomouc Region
Moravia, Czech Republic
6.9 x 6.4 x 4.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $330

A rich specimen of accicular Cerussite that is covered with tiny needles and micro balls of greenish to white Dundasite. The whole piece has a pleasing minty green hue due mostly to the Dundasite. Dundasite is a rather rare mineral and usually seen as an associate of Cerussite. This locality is an ancient abandoned mine dating to the fifteenth century which produced some good lead secondary minerals from the oxidized zone to modern (1980 vintage) collectors. Close exam of the Cerussite shows that the individual needles are sixling twins with a star-like cross section. Choice and very fine for the locale.

Grossular v. Hessonite- large single XL, Classic
stock #17.1-035
Zulova, Jesenik, Olomouc Region
Moravia, Czech Republic
6.3 x 5.2 x 4.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $390
Spring update

A big, complete Garnet crystal with honey brown color from an uncommon locality, Zulova in the Moravian area of Czech Republic. This is quite exceptional for this old locale and the condition, size and quality are top. Some surface alterations are seen on faces with a deeper red color beneath. Matt luster overall but some faces have a glassy surface as well. All examples I know from this location are much smaller, darker and usually have considerable damage or wear. One old label is included.
