Halite and Tolbachite
stock #21.1-184
Polkowice-Sieroszowice Mine, Glogow County
Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland
6.9 x 4.8 x 3.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $330

Incredible, perfect hoppered cubic crystals of Halite are stacked in an eptaxial cluster. From the recent finds at Polkowice (Poland) this a a textbook example of this form. The crystals have a distinct green color and by analysis this is due to the very rare mineral Tolbachite which is a Copper Chloride not often seen in collections. I consider the better examples of these to be super esthetic and this specimen is excellent by any standard.

Amazing geometric form on this Halite from the recent find at Polkowice (Poland). The crystals are in perfect condition, sharply formed with stepped hoppering that looks great from all sides. No damage, the color is in part from Tolbachite inclusions, an uncommon simple Copper Chloride. A very esthetic example and a textbook perfect specimen. of stacked, hoppered cubes, a very elegant salt!

Gypsum (selenite) with Paratacamite
stock #21.1-180
Rudna mine, Lubin, Legnica
Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland
8.7 x 6.5 x 3.2 CM (cabinet)

A very esthetic and unusual specimen from the remarkable finds at the Rudna Mine. A radiating spray of sharp, transparent bladed crystals of Gypsum are on a green matrix that has been determined to be in part Paratacamite. In excellent condition, many of the blades show fishtail terminations indicating that most are twinned. A fine example from recent discoveries, this can be shipped but we can also deliver to any of the major mineral shows that we attend.

Late Summer 2021

Impressive structure and textbook form on these hoppered Halite crystals from the remarkable finds at Polkowice (Poland). The Halite is colored green by the rare mineral Tolbachite and also has inclusions we are told of some Bitumen, Sulphur and Covellite. Inclusions aside these are amazing in form and well-presented as sharp, undamaged modified cubes that show the incredible natural structure perfectly. This is from a fairly recent find that we consider to be one of the best in the mineral world, with great esthetics and an excellent value.
