A top esthetic Milpillas Azurite presenting an elegant cluster of perfect, sharp, crystals on contrasting matrix. Not a typical specimen, this form and habit are quite rare from Mexico. Textbook prismatic crystals reach 2 CM in size and are undamaged. Milpillas produced many great specimens while it was producing but specimens like this were never common. Choice.

Zircon- classic Colorado find
stock #15.1-703
North Cheyenne Canyon, El Paso County
Colorado, United States
3.4 x 2.6 x 2 CM (miniature)
price: $360
new june 17

A very sharp group of Zircon crystals with a great history. Collected in Cheyenne Canyon in 1945 by the late Warren Johansson in the last weeks before he was drafted. While awaiting his call up, Warren went on a series of legendary bucket list mineral hunting trips. He had been clued in by Clarence Coil that, long ago, some Zircons had been found in that area but the locale was lost. Warren located this spot and dug several nice pieces, some of the best ever found. This specimen was one of Warrens favorites and was pictured for his memoir. Warren passed in 2015 still active collecting in his 90s. This specimen is a fine Colorado classic from a great field collector.

Fluorite- Ice cube habit on Calcite etc.
stock #AX-14-335
Dalnegorsk, Kavalerovo Mining District
Primorsky Kray, Russia
4.8 x 4.4 x 3.4 CM (miniature)
price: $460
new june 17

Looking like partially melted ice cubes these are ultra clear habit Fluorites found at Dalngorsk more the 15 years ago. In excellent condition the Fluorites up to 2 CM are nicely contrasted with the matrix. It is difficult to photograph the gem clear perfection, the matrix is perfectly seen right through the crystals. Some very clear Fluorites still come out of this locale, but none are as clear as those from this older find, now a modern classic discovery. Super glasslike luster with no signs of frosting on the faces, even better in person.

Cerussite- Chromian, reticulated twins
stock #AX-24-521
Daoping Mine, Gongcheng County, Guilin Prefecture
Guangxi Province, China
5.8 x 3.8 x 1.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $1450
new june 17

A perfect complex twin of Cerussite with the zoned yellow color of the Chromian variety from Daoping. There are also several pink zones that make a nice color contrast. Fine Cerussites at this locale were always very rare and often overshadowed by the great finds of Pyromorphites and Plumbogummites. However the good ones like this are impressive. This would be a fine Cerussite from any locale and is in excellent condition, displayable on all sides, a true floater and with well above average luster. No naked eye visible damage at all, with 20X magnification I find one very small bruise, which is incredible for the delicate and sensitive mineral. This shows well the classic sixling twinning and overall reticulation. Fine form, color and condition.

Mimetite w. Arsentsumebite

5.2 x 3.8 x 2.7 CM (small cabinet/large miniature)

Sprays of yellow radiating Mimetites up to 3 CM long on contrasting nmatrix in an esthetic array. This is a complex specimen with several display angles and a vug with Mimetites partly coated with micro Arsentumebites. In good condition overall, some micro damage can be found with magnification but still displays very well. A really nice specimen of accicular Tsumeb Mimetite.

Deep purple color Flourite cubes in a chain arrangement. From the recent find of stacked or stalactitic Fluorites which had originally formed over Stibnite crystals that no longer present. Some edges have an epitaxial coating of Barite that makes a nice contrast. In fine condition and very esthetic. This was a very small find and few had this intense color.

Bournonite on Quartz
stock #8.1-250
Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Chenzhou Pref.
Hunan Province, China
8.8 x 4 x 3.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $280

A lustrous Bournonite is perched on one end of a doubly-terminated Quartz crystal from Yaogangxian. Remarkably, the entire specimen is fully crystallized and complete on all sides, it is a floater. A modern classic specimen- vintage 2004, the great era of Yaogangxian production. The Bournonite has well defined crystal faces on the front side, however the back side is less distinct, more complex, yet still perfect and undamaged.
