Skutterudite -large well defined crystals
stock #18.1-095
Bouismas Mine, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht
Ouarzazate Province, Morocco
7.7 x 6.7 x 4.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $675
Spring update

Bright metalic large crystals in an esthetic cluster well exposed and isolated on matrix. Nearly pure Skutterudite with just a few specks of contrasting white Calcite. Modern classics, Moroccan specimens of this calibre are world class, and by far the best of the specie. Better in person this is a striking piece in hand with sharp definitions.

Fluorite- jigsaw puzzle etched
stock #6.2-202
Taolin Mine, Linxiang
Hunan Province, China
8.7 x 4.3 x 4.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $1500
Spring update

A striking and odd habit, the "jigsaw puzzel faced" Fluorites from a small find in 2002 at the Taolin mine. An incredible form- these faces are 3 dimensional, zoned and etched and have color epitaxially on the outsides of the etched forms. We obtained just a few of these in China at that time, but I never saw more. We sold all of those specimens many years ago and this one recently returned in a collection. Contacted on the back but the front and sides are in fine condition, undamaged. Very strange and rare early vintage Chinese specimen.

Fluorite - Zoned phantom crystals, classic locale
stock #16.1-717
Bergmannisch Gluck, Frohnau, Ore Mts, Annaberg-Buchholz Erzgebirge
Saxony, Germany
4.7 x 4.5 x 3.2 CM (miniature)
price: $650
Spring update

A very well formed, sharp, transparent yellow Fluorite with purple and blue zoning. From a classic Erzgebirge area mine but from a recently collected picket. Better in person this backlights very well too, (strongly backlit photos are quite misleading, these photos are more typical of normal display conditions). Well composed and esthetic this is an excellent German Fluorite.

Fluorite on Barite
stock #10.1-011B
Madoc, Centre Hastings, Hastings County
Ontario, Canada
4.5 x 3.6 CM (miniature)
price: $180
Spring update

A very attractive miniature specimen with the main Flourite of 2 CM perched on top of a Barite matrix. Pristine on the display face but contacted on the back side, this is a very well formed Fluorite from an important Canadian location.

Fluorite-
stock #17.1-202
Xiayang, Yongchun County, Quanzhou Prefecture
Fujian Province, China
3 x 2.8 x 1.7 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $550
Spring update

A superb toenail sized Fluorite is very fine condition with amazing color. New find that has been making big news, very few of these are damage free or have such well defined faces all around. These have been called by some "Tanzanite" Fluorite due to the similar color and dramatic color change to deep purple under incandescent light. An outstanding small specimen with lots of display impact, choice and with color unlike any other Fluorite known worldwide!

Dravite- Classic locale
stock #AX-30-071
Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County
New York, United States
4.3 x 3.8 x 2.2 CM (miniature)
price: $850
Spring update

A stunning classic Dravite specimen with honey brown lustrous crystals nicely exposed on matrix. Ex Carter Rich and Bill Hladysz, this is in remarkable condition, with only contacts on the back and one side but no damage at all. These old Gouverneur specimens (St Lawrence County, NY) rarely have such sharp form, warm color and strong esthetics.

Anhydrite with Calcite
stock #17.1-648
Naica Mine. Naica, Municipio de Saucillo
Chihuahua, Mexico
7.6 x 6.2 x 3.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $480
Spring update

Exceptional quality and esthetics, these blue Anyhydite crystals in the flat blade form are dusted with small sparkling Calcites. Older specimen from Naica, that produced some of the worlds best Anhydrite crystals, now quite uncommon on the market and very rare in this quality. Sharp undamaged terminations and baby-blue color. The tiny Calcites are mostly colorless transparent, doubly terminated scalenohedrons but some have dark unknown inclusions as well. Ex Hitchings collection, this in an early 1960 vintage piece. Naica is now flooded and seems it will not again be worked.

Fluorite on Quartz, Classic locale, zoned crystals
stock #0525-JM-2770
Freiberg
Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
7 x 5.3 x 5.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $380
Spring update

A fine old classic Freiburg Fluorite specimen ex. Yale and JH Marshall collections. The Fluorites are zoned with clear to deep purple colors and have rotated phantoms. Sharp corners and edges these are good condition despite some small bruising. Some old damage is on the Quartz some of which has rehealed, but this is overall quite fine and can be displayed (or trimmed) so damage is not noticable. Not typical of the majority of specimens we have seen, there are a few areas of crystallized Sulfides as well.
