Brumado
Bahia, Brazil
4.2 x 3.9 CM (miniature)

A very pretty small miniature with sharp glassy crystals. Micros of Goyazite as well as gemmy rhombs of Magnesite complete the specimen. In fine condition, this find at Brumado has produced some fantastic examples of this tourmaline family member. Good value.
Ferberite on Quartz
stock #12.1-005
Yaogangxian Tungsten Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan, China
5 x 3.5 CM (miniature)
price: $120

A very cute, esthetic, sharp and undamaged Ferberite on quartz. From the display side the ferberite crystals are growing out of the termination of a quartz prism. An older piece originally sold by the Rocksmiths in the first wave of Chinese discoveries. Fine luster and architecture that is also affordable, and show why Yaoganxian has become a world class supplier of good sulfide minerals.
Beryl V. Aquamarine (tabular form) on Muscovite

Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu, Huya
Sichuan, China
4.9 x 3.6 CM (miniature)
price: $140

Glassy, gemmy pale aqua crystal with classic flattend form from the great finds at Xuebaoding. A nice clean example that is affordable and esthetic. These were plentiful just a few years ago but are now much less common and more expensive when available. Good value.
Clinochlore Var. Kammererite (very fine crystals)
stock #12.1-006
Kop Daglari, Erzerum
East Anatolia, Turkey
5x4.8 CM (miniature)
price: $450

Ex Wm. Pinch Collection. Intense top color, gemmy, sizable crystals (to almost 1 CM) and undamaged. Kammererites from Turkey were a great find in the 2000-2002 era. These were certainly the most impressive and beautiful clinochlore ever found. This is an electric bright deep purple-red example that really catches the eye.
Beryl Var. Heliodore (doubly terminated, 2-toned)
stock #12.1-007
Songea
Ruvana Region, Tanzania
3.9 x 1.4 CM (miniature)
price: $385

A sharp, medium yellow gem clear crystal that grades to a slightly more green color at the base. Fully natural, doubly terminated and with some zones of natural etching that with magnification looks a lot like Ukraine material. From a small find a few years ago in the area better known for gem corundum. These crystals are usually called dichroic but to be honest it seems only very slight at best. Certainly a very pretty gem crystal with only micro nicking that is invisible by naked eye.

Wenshan County, Wenshan Autonomous Prefecture
Yunnan, China
9.8 x 7.1 CM (cabinet)

Bright, sparkling blue (powder blue to deep intense blue) Hemimorphite on matrix. From an important find about 4 years ago, these Chinese Hemi's are very fine and very affordable compared to any other locality. Most of these are a more massive botryoidal but this is a druze of clear, glassy crystallized Hemimorphite. A very good value, these are destined to appreciate but are currently still very affordable.
