Spring update

A pair of Tourmaline crystals decorated with several globular Fluorites. The Fluorites are included by hairlike Tourmalines that are a light green hue. From The slopes of the Hohenstein Massif in the Erongo, this is a likely a mixture of green Elbaite and Black Schorl Tourmaline. A very unusual arrangement and a nice setting for the transparent Fluorites.

Spring update

A large gem clear Quartz that is a light smoke brown with coatings and inclusions of Schorl Tourmaline. Complex multi faced sides with ramparts make this a statuesque crystal. In excellent condition the overall look is an alpine type habit. In exceptional undamaged condition a few areas show a coating of Hyalite opal as well. Especially fine and choice for the locale this is far better in person.

Spring update

Super colorful multi-specie specimen from Tsumeb. In fine condition with excellent luster and sparkle throughout. The Calcite rhombs are dusted with micro crystals of Dioptase which gives a sugar cube texture but with emerald green color. Very good display impact in person.

Incredible form, with large sharp crystals showing classic Azurite shape covered by silky Malachite. In exceptional condition, the biggest crystal in this cluster is textbook habit, doubly terminated and 6.3 CM long. A few areas of Azurite remain, with Bayldonite and Olivenite present as well. Ex N.Collins and A. Edwards collections. Impressive display impact, in clean undamaged condition, this is a top quality Tsumeb piece likely from the 1920-30 vintage years.

One of the more famed Pseudomorphs from Tsumeb is Rosasite replacing Malachite that has replaces Azurite crystals. This is an excellent example with a thin outer zone of Rosasite that has several small Calcite rhombs sprinkled on the surface. Attractive and now quite uncommon, the main crystal is in perfect condition. Other crystals on the back and bottom side are broken showing the malachite core, does not affect display. A big thumbnail with a lot of good visual impact.

Balls of crystallized Prehnite (up to 2.5 CM) in perfect condition are set on a matrix of Quartz crystals. A few Quartz crystals have breaks but most are undamaged. From the Goboboseb mountains better known for their great Amethysts, this is a bright, colorful and lustrous piece in person.

A transparent Tsumeb Anglesite crystal with the look of a Moroccan specimen. Smokey cognac color and zoning a well as unknown inclusions add a nice look to this crystal. On close inspection the association of Chalcocite and Posnakite micros and the unusual face coatings confirm that this is from Tsumeb. Glassy and sharp, there is some light edge bruising but the crystal is complete and terminated. A less common form and habit this is an early vintage piece much better in person.

A superb, sharp yellow Wulfenite crystal perched on a delicate matrix of bright green Duftite balls and related minerals. Great combination with wonderful color and in exceptional condition. With 20 x magnification I can just see one very microscopic bruise point that is impossible to find otherwise. Choice display specimen that has fine form and color contrast.
